New GM Crossover Deliveries delayed by glitch

2007 GMC Acadia
2007 Saturn Outlook
The Detroit Free Press reports that a problem with an engine mount has forced General Motors to tell dealers to hold off on selling its new GMC Acadia and Saturn Outlook crossover SUVs. However the delay in sales is expected only for a couple of days, since GM has only shipped about 550 vehicles to dealers.

The engine mount problem could cause some vibration in cold weather. The fix involves drilling drainage holes into an engine mount to keep water from collecting in the mount and freezing.

Dealers will make fixes to the shipped vehicles, and GM already has fixed the problem on its assembly line, a GM spokeswoman said. Meanwhile if you’re looking for GMC parts do check out Auto Parts Corner.
