Audi Introduces the New TT Roadster

TT Roadster
Audi has finally released the full details and pricing specs of the new TT Roadster that will roll out in dealerships in spring 2007. Two model trims and engine types are available – a 3.2-litre V6 engine that produces 250 base horsepower mated to Audi’s patented Quattro drive system as a standard powertrain component, and the 2.0 TFSI turbocharged engine with petrol direct injection technology delivering 200 horsepower to the front wheels. Both models comes with and optional innovative S-tronic dual-clutch transmission or a standard six-speed manual transmission.

The new TT Roadster is built from the Audi Space Frame (ASF) technology that features body structure with lightweight design. Other exterior features include 17-inch alloy wheels, sharply tapered headlights, large tailpipes and wide diffuser, tube-shaped reflectors inside the taillights, and the soft top. On the interior, safety is one significant factor. Key interior and safety features of the Audi TT Roadster include leather and Alcantara sports seats, DVD-based navigation systems, leather sports steering with flat-bottom rim, head and thorax side airbags, two-stage full-size airbags and restraint systems.

The Audi TT Roadster will roll out in German markets in spring 2007 carrying a base price of 33,800 Euros ($ USD) for the 2.0 TFSI model, and 43,800 Euros for the TT Roadster model with 3.2 Quattro. We hope to see this in dealer showrooms in the US someday. Meanwhile, the best quality Audi parts are found in Auto Parts Corner.
